"Make Money Online 101"
I am going to give you some general rules about how to make money online. One my most important goals is to make sure that YOU do not get scammed, and make the most money possible being a secret shopper. Here are a couple things you should know before becoming a secret shopper, doing online surveys, reading emails, Ebaying or doing any other kind of online work.
IMPORTANT ground rules to LIVE by!
1. DOWNLOAD Roboform! Any work that you do is going to require you fill out form after form. This program is a life saver. Plus, they will neither corrupt your computer with pop ups nor your flood your email with spam. And it's FREE! [Click Here to Get RoboFrom]
#2. You are about to embark on being self employed. I’m sure this statement goes with out saying, but you must realize what it means to you! In short, is means what you put in you will get out. Don’t expect to put in one hour of work, per week, and earn $1000 (or even $100). In order to make money you must treat it like any other full or part time job. Ask yourself, if I was going to get a part time job as a waitress, receptionist, ECT. How many hours per week would I be expected to put in? If your answer is 10 hours, then plan to spend 10 hours a week WORKING!
#3. Time is MONEY! This goes hand and hand with rule #1. Look at the time you spend, as money. Just like any other business when you first start off you will put in time (money), with little return. However, after a week or two of working your time (money) will start to pay off. Furthermore, once you start getting jobs, surveys, sales or whatsoever start paying attention to how much money you are making per hour. For example, if it takes you 45 minutes to do an assigned shop, 15 minutes to fill in the questionnaire associated with that shop and you are only getting paid $5.00 you, then should not do it! YOUR TIME IS MONEY! Another example, say you are doing $1.00 paid surveys, and each one takes you 15 minutes... Do the math and that’s ONLY $4.00 per hour. HOWEVER, with all that being said, in the beginning some companies pay less to beginners, and will pay more later on. It’s a way of weeding out the serious from the not serious. You will have to use your best judgment with these.
#4. Set up a separate email account. Most online jobs or sales contact you via email. I suggest that if you are doing secret shopping and surveys both should have a separate accounts for both activies. It is too hard, I repeat, TOO HARD, to stay organized if they are all going to the same email account.
#5. Do NOT do it all at once. Pick one way to make money, become good at it, and then move on to the next way. If you try to do it all, at once, you’ll learn very little, and this will get you no where, with no money.
#6. Understand that everyone is out to make money. Everyone! Listen, no one is out, just to give you money. Some companies make money solely through advertising (more on that later). Others make money by setting contract with companies and then getting you to the shopping, or take the survey. The “big guy” pays the “smaller guy” who “pays you”…. Thus, as the old saying goes, “if it is too good to be true it probably is.” If you find that some company wants to pay you $100.00 to take one survey they are lying! Do the math….
#7. Stay organized. If you don’t stay organized you’ll lose money and time (which is money). I can guarantee that!!!!
